Mahmoud Hemida & Asser Yassin Star in a New Netflix Series "Mawed Ma' Al Maady"
The eight-episode series follows a young man’s quest for vengeance after the tragic death of his sister.
Egyptian actors Mahmoud Hemida and Asser Yassin are set to star in a new limited eight-episode series called "Mawed Ma' Al Maady" [Echoes of the Past] that is scheduled to premiere on Netflix in 2024. Directed by Al Sadeer Massoud and written by Mohamed El Masry, the series tells the story of Yehia, played by Asser Yassin, who embarks on a quest for revenge after the tragic death of his sister Nadia.
"Mawed Ma' Al Maady" is produced by Charisma Group, with Mohammed Mashish serving as the executive producer. The series features an ensemble cast of stars, including Saba Mubarak, Sherif Salama, Rakeen Saad, Shereen Reda, Huda Elmufti, Mohammed Alaa, Tamer Nabil, and Mohammed Tharwat.
Interestingly, Mahmoud Hemida and Asser Yassin have previously worked together in the 2015 drama film "Mn Dahr Ragel," which tells the story of a professional boxer's downfall upon discovering his father's past.
