Major General Mohamed El Bandary, Secretary General of the Red Sea Governorate, announced the launch of Egypt's and Africa's first underwater military museum in Hurghada.

In collaboration with the Ministry of Environment, Red Sea Reserves, and civil society, the museum preserves the natural coral reefs by sinking 15 unique military equipment pieces in three diving sites: Shaab al-Saqala, Uruq al-Tawil, and Arg Jama’ in Magawish.

The inauguration will be celebrated in the presence of environment ministers from Arab nations, diving enthusiasts, and scholars, next Thursday at Hurghada's tourist marina.
